Hi i just would like to say dont try and buy a lupo gti engine. i have now had two engines that both times were polo gti engines sent to me, i even sent pics of the engine, are engine deals think. I have had enough, where can i look. i just cant find one?

Right new question if the code on the engine is avy will that go straight in to my lupo gti as that is the engine code i got

i got a silly question to ask where can i get info on what i can have fitted on the loop gti that vw provide i.e. book or brochure thanks

if i just change the gearbox will that do or will i have to change more? the loop is a 6 speed? 2002

my mate thinks if we cant find a loop gti engine a golf is the same with the bottom end?

Hi i bought a 2001 polo gti engine, thinking it will go in for a replacement engine for my now very dead lupo gti engine, finding out it does not fit. The mechanic thinks a golf engin will fit the gearbox in dont know. Anyone with ideas or codes that will fit.

good news chaps the car is straight now for the engine

i dont know but they can find her if i need to have a word in her ear, if the car is not straight i will be seeing her soon. i am not to worried about the engine as i have big ideas happy days, still love the car. I would like to go to a show or meet to see some lupo GTIs to get some ideas. The 1cm out needs to be seen by a car body shop the door done shut flush so need to find out. thanks chaps.

I did a hpi check before buying the car it was all good, and had DVLA check too all good. there is no record of the car having no problems at all. i had a good look at the engine it was fine, got back and there was oil in the coolent so head gasket or something wrong with the engine. Then i was told the one side is 1cm out but i will get this tested, i am just hoping that this is not true. i have now got a police friend involved.

i have cooled down now but was on the war path about this car having a crash and needing a new engine, before i owned it. hoping all will be sorted soon. the car still looks good. hope the car is straight
