Found something weird with the rear calipers - they are pretty much brand new, but for some reason the PO decided to attack the mint powder coating to grind off something and then did a crappy job painting:
Any thoughts? wondering if it was a Seat logo - the area is square or could they be non VAG?
This is the only PN I can find on the RH caliper
I bought new calipers all round a couple of years back and they were exactly the same.
the guy I use for servicing is a VW Master Tech and when he compared them said they are identical to the old.
i was thinking the same as you, SEAT, Skoda, or another manufacturer’s branding.

I've not had the car long - it was imported to the UK from Japan late last year. My assumption is that the spoiler was re-painted at some point whilst the car was still in Japan. I suspect that the usual problems with water absorption into the spoiler have been made worse in this instance by a poor re-paint with insufficient preparation and, probably, the application of far too much new paint, making for an overly thick paint layer. I think my best bet would be to remove it now - whilst it should be well dried out as a result of our long dry weather spell - and get as much old paint stripped off as possible before applying new.
One concern I have is about getting it off - I wonder if these tend to sustain damage in the process?
Originally they were bolted not bonded, so unless someone has bonded it when it was sprayed, it should come off simple enough.
Funnily enough though; IIRC @bossjohnchad issues with his spoiler under warranty and returned it a few times for fixing. The final time it was sprayed, they fitted it using a bonding kit.
He never had the problem again.

Wow, seen bubbling and the odd popped blister, but never that.
Has it been re-sprayed at previously?

Not really a fan on daily road going tyres; more of a Jap scene thing, but the lettering looks good and clear.
It's your car, so whatever floats your boat.

So are you hitting it?
A doddle; I done Brighton to Perth earlier this year in the Polo Dune.
As already said, take the M40, M6, M74/3, M80 M9, A9. It's pretty much kept open in all of the worst conditions, but keep a keen eye on the road reports for snow on the high ground after Perth.
Are you low? as whilst they keep the roads open, there is often a build up of slush in the middle of the lane which may foul your splitter if you are.
Enjoy the trip! A9 is awesome at his time of the year if the weather is clear.
