  1. Iv never seen behind the pedal box so not sure what's there but check vacuum pipes if it sounds like you've got an air leak? Especially under the bonnet coming from the servo. I know they like to split pipes so just have a check under the bonnet too.
  2. agreed. when i put mine on today the whole thread was on show and the nut went on easy as.
  3. have you got the adjusters wound right down to the bottom and i know it may sound stupid but is the shocker actually pulled all the way out?
  4. iv just fit mine today, i just wound the adjusters right down and there was plenty of thread for the top mount and the nut to go on. take a picture and im sure one of us will be able to help better if we see the problem
  5. Also got the standard sport suspension for sale. all in good condition. covered 44k. £40 posted?
  6. Could you send some pics to craig_durham@hotmail.co.uk please
  7. ahh i see. iv got teledials on mine and accidently got camber when playing around with my struts so just wondered if it was the same way.
  8. Looked sweet at edition dude. how did you get so much camber on the front
  9. They are all pretty much interchangeable yes. if your after stiffer suspension i have a set of standard arosa sport springs and shockers and some kw 40mm lowering springs and shortend dampers that stiffen it up and handle really well while giving a nice and subtle drop. let me know if your interested.
  10. They were on my sport. im sure they are the same for diesel.
  11. I have a few items cluttering up my dads garage so now they must go. im open to offers on everything but for forum rules i will add prices to each item. KW Lowering springs/dampers: Lupo/arosa (all models exc. GTi) Im not sure on exact model or these but they are 100% KW's. They lower by aprox 40mm and handle extremely well. alot better than cheapy coilovers and also sit pretty low and nice for only being 40mm. not sure of the exact mileage they have covered but have only done about 600miles on my car. They are in excellent condition just need a bit of a clean which i can do for the buyer. Only reason for sale is i upgraded to coilovers. Price: £100? Seat Arosa standard lights: Standard rear lights, both in perfect condition, no scratches, chips or cracks, complete with bulb holders. im sure everyone knows what they look like but if anyone would like a picture i can get one upon request. reason for sale as i changed to lupo rears Price: £15 Rear wiper motor/wiper arm and blade: I also have a rear wiper motor in full working condition, was removed from my arosa a few months ago. im sure it will also fit the lupo. complete with wiper arm and blade price: £10 Like i said im open to offers so dont hesitate to ask. all item exclude postage and can be collected from cumbria or i could post at buyers cost. thanks for looking Craig.
  12. are prices including postage? il take the engine cover.
  13. shame i could only make saturday. thats all i took im afraid
  14. So a few of you might have seen in my build thread a month or so ago that my arosa's windscreen got smashed. As you would i got the police involved as id been away for the weekend and came home to find the damage. When the policeman arrived he must have looked at it for about 2minutes then went on to say am i sure its been deliberately smashed as it could have been a bird dropping stones on it (there was 7 good chips took out of the screen) i then went on to ask how a bird could have possibly done that and his answer was "well you've seen the size of some of those seagulls at Sellafield" the car was parked a good 10-15miles away from Sellafield! as i was sure it wasnt a bird that smashed the screen he then suggested that i went and knocked on neighbors doors to ask if anyone had seen anything, im pretty sure, though i may be incorrect, that is the job of the police themselves? As you could probably tell i wasnt best pleased with what he was coming out with untill... he took a step backwards looked at my car and asked why i had Porsche centrecaps in my wheels to which he got the quick reply, because the wheels are from a Porsche. he then laughed and said "why? on this old thing!" so i kept my calm and he said he would send me a letter with an incident number on so i could make a claim through insurance and what not. Id heard nothing for over a month until the 25th august when i recieved a letter from Cumbria Constabulary. so i opened it thinking it would be my incident number (it was too late anyways as id paid £170quid for a new one in as i couldnt wait any longer) but no! it was a letter informing me i hadnt paid my fixed penalty notice for 'unnecessary obstruction' only 3days after i had the police up to investigate my windscreen. my car never had a fixed penalty notice attached to it and this letter was the first i heard of it. so i went off to the police station and had a rant and all they said i can do is write a letter. iv parked in the same place for 3 and a half years and never once had a ticket until i had the police involved in something else. so basically i feel like the police are punishing me for something that was done to my car and they just seem to be a bunch of useless, arrogant people and were no help at all. should i just pay my fine and be done with it or write my letter of complaint and see what happens? Rant over!
  15. No worries mate Thanks, slowly but surely getting there.
  16. So this year was my first year at edition, unfortunately i wasnt able to do the whole camping thing but done the 500mile round journey for the saturday. i think il have to do the whole weekend next time. i took quite a few pics so il get them uploaded now. i think i seen a few familiar faces when i first got there and drove around in my blue arossa on white teledials although i could be wrong. enjoy the pictures.
  17. im coming on saturday. are most people on the list in the show parked together? id like to park with yous on saturday.
  18. Being lowered wont effect the mot. the only reason for a fail with lowered suspension is if when the rear is jacked up the springs fall back into the seats correctly without any help when the jack is lowered back down. pretty harsh IMO as it takes no effort to just hold a spring in place and its let down.
  19. thanks il try get there nice and early. will be a long drive.
  20. Hi, i will be attending edition this year for the first time. just a few questions... i will only be able to go for the saturday so what would i expect through the day? when i arrive will i park in a normal car park or in the show? if not how do i get my car in the show with you guys? and finally will anyone be traveling down from the north on saturday morning? thanks craig
