How can i get rid of it if thats the end problem? Going to change the thermostat anyway since there a tenner, see if it does change anything

I know when the engine is cold the stat is closed and recirculates coolant in the engine to heat it up and one it gets hot it opens and allows water into the radiator. This is where in confused. If its stuck shut... Therefore isolating the radiator... Why is the top rad pipe red hot. And if it is stuck open why does the water not flow freely and the bottom rad pipe not at least feel warm. And if it was stuck open it would take a long time to warm up and not reach 110 within a mile or so as it is at the moment.

So the thermostat being knackered can stop flow through the radiator? Is that correct? Ive heard the stat housings can break too stopping it opening.. Could that be it?

My lupo keeps running hot (up to 110) very quickly after start up and the only way of getting it down to running temp is to keep the heaters on full. Theres plenty of coolant etc etc but the top rad pipe gets red hot along with all the others apart from the bottom rad pipe which stays stone cold. The fan doesnt kick in either at any point from what i have seen so far? Anyone had this before? Is it just thermostat stuck shut or does this indicate the water pump is not working? Is there a simple fool proof way to check if pump is working? Cheers.

Will the standard speaker covers still fit if spacers are used with new speakers? Or do they foul?, cheers.

Im got quoted 1400 on a 1.0 e just turned 18 with mods declared, which is just alloys and tints at the moment. had a toyota starlet sr as my first car that was 2200 but sold that and got the lupo to try to save money, wrote off a passat by reversing the lupo into it as it went passed and now the smaller engined lupo has cost me much more after putting it back on the road the cheapest insurance i can get is 2700 so im forced to pay it. its part of being 17 and having a penis lol, were a liability as i proved so we pay lol.

I think they are 195/45/15 tyres. how much would it cost me to egt coilovers and get them fitted with camber and tracking alignment?

would they rub at all?

Hi Guys, Im very interested in a car bra and also need the cut out for the badge (not the straight edged bonnet) Also, how do theese ones fit? do they slide right over the front end of the bonnet or do they just flop over the front with elastics on the back to hold them on? cheers. Hi everyone, i have a 2000 plate lupo 1.0E with 15x7.5 lenso bsx alloys, i think they are about 31mm ofset but not sure off hand, anyway it needs lowering but i cant go too far down because of the rads where i live, ive had a very low starlet before and it was a nightmare. I want to make my wheels look as if they fit the arches nicely without rubbing on full lock or over bumps, i also want to be able to carry 2 people in the back without it scrubbing off the rear tread. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on what to lower it with and how far to go. Cheers guys.
