Over the last few days when I come to a stop my idle has dropped and then it reva its self a bit and sorts it out, but sometimes it cuts out altogether, but when I turn the key it starts again first time, any ideas please anyone?

im thinking of getting mine done eventually after i get a manifold etc, deffo want a live one though, rather spend the extra cash than pay less and just have a generic map. will prob go to RS tuning in armley, or well lane turbo centre in birstal

dont cut your springs, its a really dangerous and theyput millions of pounds into the RnD or suspenssion for good reasons, when you cut them they turn really weak and can snap at any time, trust me, i did it on my corsa before i read about it and nearly died!

think to fit the front bumper youd prob have to do a full front end conversion maybe?

sound il replace it this weekend then. my local parts shop sells an aftermarket one for 8 quid or TPS sells an original VW one for 30, i know with somestuff your best getting the original, is that so in this case?

i noticed the other day when i was driving to work that my temp needl hadn't moved at all, then suddenly it shot up to runnin temperature, then before loing it dropped again, then went up again, its been doing it on and off for the last 2 days now. is this likely to be the temp sensor or something more serious? the heaters blow hot all the time so i know the engine is hot even though the needle says it not. also is it safe to drive until i find out what the problem is and buy a part? and if it is the temp sensor does anyone know how easy they are to replace? oh and its a 1.4 16v cheers

il go see about getting it down tomorow then, how much should i be looking roughly? im guna go to the garage where i bought the car and see if their willin to sort me out a deal on it since i only bought the car last week

shouldn't think it would make a difference mate as long as you trust that the garage do a decent job

how often are the cam belts supposed to be changed on 1.4 sport? mines on 79500 at the moment and my mate said he thought it was around 80,000?

dont put any in the rears, rear speakers are a waste of time and make it sounds unballanced. decent components in front and sub in the back, works everytime

sweet mate il have a look this week sometime. it seems to have loosened off a bit today so it might just of been a bit stiff due to being sat a month or two at the garage i bought it from maybe

sweet il have a look tomorow, did you tighten it or loosen it? il give the cable some oil whilst im at it. just i read snapping cables is a common problem aparently, so wasnt sure wether it was ready to go or something.

just picked my mk1 sport up this morning, and i have to say i love it, but the clutch pedal feels a bit "gritty" when it gets right to the bottom, is this a normal thing or is the cable about to snap?
