  1. yeah no problem mate, i will go see it next week hopefully if she is free, so if the asking price is a bit much for me ill get her number for you.

  2. It's a black tdi, 2001, 130k on the clock, needs a new cv boot and tyre, its lowered and on steffan BCW alloys, but that is all i know, im just waiting for a reply from her on a price.

  3. I'm afraid I'm actually looking to buy it off her, shes just getting back to me on a price so if it is out of my budget i will let you know!

    Lupo D

Wheels suit it perfectly! very nice
  5. Love the roof! such a unique look! ...Quick question, how much did it cost to get the clutch and cambelt done? I'm guessing you got a garage to do it? Cheers
  6. I joined this forum a while ago when i was desperate for a lupo, unfortunately i wasn't able to find a suitable one in my price range. The only reason i came back to this site was to view this thread! LOVE this car so much! Now that i have a strong chance of being able to get a lupo in the coming weeks, i could only hope i manage to get it as tidy as your arosa
  7. Superdry do great warm clothes! the coats and hoodies are stupidly warm!

    Hi

That is retarded amount of money man! try quinn, admiral or elephant, me and my mates are on them and none of us have ever been quoted over £2k. EDIT: make sure you put parents on as named drivers... will drop the price

    Wheel ideas please

Best bet mate would be to go in the members ride section, give yourself an hour and just wonder through the threads, most people will always tell you what wheel they have, the size and what size of tyre they are using as well
  10. Looks, like ill go have a look at it! what would be the things i would prefer to have already been replaced? cam belt and clutch preferably? anything else i should check along side consistent services?
  11. This is my thoughts exactly! But to be honest, i do fancy a change, mostly just the fact i do around 250 miles a week, i would prefer a car that was comfy and generally nice to be in. But like you say, it could prove to be expensive as well. I just spoke to her, she said she is going to discuss a price with her partner and get back to me, hopefully she will stick to £1100 if not only a little bit more we will see
  12. this is what i thought but i promise you she said to my mate £1100 but it needs a new tyre and a new cv boot. then when my mate asked again she said she would just check the price with her boyfriend and get back to us when she knows! so im just waiting! i think she may put the price up a bit though but i will see what she wants
  13. i thought the dodgy pedalbox and gearbox problem didnt happen in tdis and gtis?
  14. haha, cheers mate i thought i needed to post the same question there, just to get a balanced opinion, most of them say get the lupo anyway!
  15. Well, hopefully i will get around £1500-£1800 for my saxo if i sold it, so if i got the lupo for like £1100-£1200 i would have some spare cash for repairs.
  16. Well to be fare, i don't really use the power my saxo has, i got caught speeding a few months back so iv literally just been driving speed limit since, i only use the power when i'm overtaking, plus by the sounds of things, a remap would get it to a similar level of power so that isn't even a worry for me, at the moment i think its literally just money, the lupo will obviously save me on tax, insurance and fuel but it's the whole gamble of if the miles the lupo has done is going to effect the car resulting in me spending money on it just like my saxo...
  17. It is a tricky one indeed, i don't know the owner at all but, the friend who told me she is selling is a very good friend and has a good knowledge of cars! He says she doesn't thrash cars about at all and drives well. ( no offence taken, saxo's are fun to drive but they are indeed awful cars! I think maybe once i find out about the history and given it a test drive i will be able to make a clearer judgement. Thanks for the quick reply though! anyone else got a thought?
  18. First of all, i know this is a stupid question to put on a Lupo forum, however i know you guys will still be honest. At the moment i have a 2002 Saxo VTR on 70k, i have owned it for about 9 months now and payed £1900 for it, in the garage i have spent over £1000 on it. I have finally got everything sorted on it and got a fresh MOT today. A friend of a friend is now looking to sell her 2001 Lupo TDI on 130k for around £1200, i have to decide if i should sell my saxo and take the gamble that it will keep breaking and to get the lupo to replace it which won't give me any hastle, or i take the gamble that the saxo will be fine and i should put up with it allowing me to start saving for another car in a year or 2. What would you guys do? I know the lupo is the better built car obviously and i do have a real soft spot for them, and spend my time looking through this forum, i don't even touch the saxo forum. But is it the better car when it has 60k more miles on the clock ?
  19. Christ! ha! that is impressive!
  20. Haakon, have you had any problems with yours to do with the mileage you have done? because that really is insane! ha
  21. Again, Admiral do allow mods, i think the prices may be a bit harsh for mods though, i'm not sure, your probably looking at about £150 increase for lowering and different alloys
  22. with one years no claims, you should be able to insure a 1.0L for under 1k! im coming up to getting my one years no claim, however i have almost 2 years driving, but a lupo sport is around 1k for me to insure. Try Admiral for insure, thats who i use.
  23. i honestly couldn't find anything, unless there is a way of looking back on previous buys? the mileage is all much lower for me to even attempt to compare.
  24. Looking at a 2001 lupo tdi with 130k, good quality, one spot of rust on the boot handle, needs a new tyre and a cv boot so nothing major. I have no idea on the kind of price a tdi with this mileage would go at, iv done some searches and can't find any previous examples! It has full service history as well. Cheers
  25. so 130k on a diesel should be fine ? What kind of price should i be looking at for a lupo tdi with 130k on it then, good condition apart from a spot of rust on the boot handle? just trying to get an idea as they aren't the most common car!
