  1. Many Thanks for the tip. I ordered the kit from the site and it has all the necessary tensioners and relay rollers, even the VW kit does not have the second belt relay roller! This kit is made by Continental and all the parts are German made so I'm sure it will be ok. I bought the belts, tensioner and relay roller from Euro Car Parts and then realised they do not stock the secondary belt realy roller and tensioner. I returned the parts to Euro Car Parts Glasgow branch and they charged me a 10% handling charge!! Members be warned, if you buy a part from Euro Car Parts and need to return it they will charge you a handling charge. Pity, I was going to buy discs and brake pads and water pump etc but I will buy them somewhere else.
  2. It is possible to fit the bulbs without taking the headlamps off. With a bit of patience you could take the back off and get the bulb out. I replaced mine with Osram Silver Star bulbs when I got the car last year and they made a huge difference. It is a bit of a fiddle to get the back off to get at the blub, once the back cover is off you will be able to get the bulb out quite easily.
  3. It could be the pedal box, mine did the same and the pedal box broke last Friday. Just had the pedal box replaced under warranty (it's a 2000 1.4S), apparently this is now a recall job so it would be replaced free. It was supposed to be done next Wednesday but the local dealer had already done the job, amazing! I would suggest taking it to a VW dealer and asked them to check the pedal box. Good Luck
  4. Hi Andi Have you found out how I could adjust the rear brakes? The handbrake pulls up quite high too.
  5. The rear drum brakes on the Lupo 1.4S, are they self adjusting? If not, how do I go about adjusting the brake shoes?
