Lupo TDI Antracite Grey For Sale - 52 Reg - £30 Tax!

For Sale - Lupo TDI Anthracite Grey - 70,000 miles £2500 o.n.o Note: Car is recorded as damage / repaired due to a non-fault shunt in the back which bent the back bumper reinforcement beam and slightly cracked the bumper whilst I was stationery at a junction - insurer would only pay out for the cost of parts to repair the vehicle myself after frustratingly insisting on using Benfield approved repairers, who quoted £2500 for the repair! The reinforcement beam has now been completely replaced and the bumper crack can be repaired before sale (negotiable in price). Car will be fully MOT'd before sale. I have photos of before and after the repair and am more than happy to share to show how genuine the car is Those of you who have seen my car for sale prior to the bump will know that the sale is not a knee-jerk reaction from the incident but more a long-standing desire to own a mini! I will not accept any completely daft offers just because of the bump and would rather keep the motor and run it into the ground than lose masses of cash on an outstanding car for something that wasn't my fault... What I don't get is that they are saying that it's not financially viable to repair yet they offer me the option of scrapping it or giving me money to REPAIR it... :s. I obviously know if they had decided to repair it then it wouldn't be recorded on the V5, but they have declared it as a total loss and given me the options above... that's the confusing part.

well when I've been buying in the past and done searches on them, a few have come up as CAT D - that's why I'm concerned...

Yea fully comp but it's obviously going through the third party's insurance as it wasn't my fault. I agree but at the same time I know I'd be wary of buying a CAT D anything so concerned it's just going to kill the value of the car...I think the killer has been that the back panel needs straightening (nothing wrong at all with the boot floor). Gutted

Ha! - yea it came with it when I bought it...only put it on in the summer for motorway journeys to try and keep chip free..

Well sod's law that I put a pic up and then some lass decides to go into the back of me while at a junction... just a replacement bumper but still a bit annoying as it's in such good condition

Cheers Toying with selling it as I fancy a new cooper d but struggling to justify paying monthly when this is paid off and does 65 mpg with £30 tax. Would consider if the right offer came along tho ..

Yep, done the same to me...drove back home to Durham for an hour to change them, got the caliper off and the pads look completely different... Gutted as the old ones are absolutely shagged How did you get hold of the correct ones (will have a read of that thread)

Max I get from my TDI is 400 miles to a tank motorway driving and being very careful.. (I'm pretty sure it's remapped but not certain)

ok great cheers. Will look forward to fitting the green stuff ones I've bought then as my TDI brakes aren't a patch on my GTI's after I fitted greenstuff's on that.

Are the calipers the same across all Lupo's?

Hi, I need to change my front pads and as I used to own a GTI and changed the pads and discs on that, I was wondering if the caliper size onTDI sports was the same or different to GTI's? I'm also fancying changing the rears from drums to calipers...would I notice a big difference in braking performance by doing this? Thanks.

Would have to be very close as I'd rather keep than sell on for less - once you see it you'll realise how good condition it's in, compared with anthracite (rare), starlites (rare), sport suspension (rare), grey sport seats and Alpine head unit.
