baron silas greenback
Hi! I've just got my Lupo, its a '99 1.0 AER and I'm trying to put it back on the road. One thing I need to fix I think is the left hand set of dials in the binnacle - I mean the rev-counter, fuel guage, temp gauge etc - seems to be dead. None of the dials move or even flicker at all. The only activity seems to be the fuel indicator which illuminates to say "need fuel now!" Has anyone seen this before, I thought initially it may have been an iffy connection, so I've taken the binnacle out, cleaned the contacts and reattached firmly to the plug but no luck? Skezza
Get the clocks off. There's two plugs on the back, check they're plugged in.

baron silas greenback
UPDATE: Still no action from the rev counter, stays totally still, but temp gauge and fuel gauge ARE working. Wondering if there is a sensor that might be broken or loose on the engine?

Skezza
You need to get a multimeter on the wire, and find where it's broken.
baron silas greenback
What wire?
Skezza
The wire for the rev counter at the back of the cluster. I can't remember which one it was, but you could always test it using a battery.
baron silas greenback
Still stuck with this rev counter not moving off zero. Has anyone (not skezza) had this problem on their car?
