Oil service is due this month and I want to go for Motul 10w40 for my 1.4 16v 75hp, should i?

last time i got castrol 10w40 - mine isn't a sport and it's got 192k km, can't put 0-30/40

Ok. If you need 10-40 Mobil 1 motul Fuchs gulf none of it really makes a difference chose the cheapest one or the one you prefer and go for it.

Yes you can. 0w-40 is the same thickness as a 10w40 when hot.

Indeed. It would be preferable to get something A3/B 4 rated though

Good point although most oils meet and exceed acea or other accreditation if it's decent. I use Fuchs Titan race and it covers pretty much everything I need it for 505.01 507 229.1 LL01 and LL03.

Il give that a read. It's a Shane it's so expensive but id love to get oil analysis done. You drop your oil. Send it to a lab and they give you a complete break down if what your oil and engine is doing.
