depthmvm
So I had pressed plates on about a week ago, Got pulled for them.. "Not legal.. blah blah blah.. I wont give you a ticket or fine, If i see you with them on again then I will."To my knowledge if it has the British Standard mark then it legal? - I have BSAU145dI was looking on ebay for some more that claim to be road legal and MOT worthy.Until I read the small print. All plates unless specifically requested (documentation required) are sold as "show use" and/or "off road use" and therefore we cannot be held responsible for illegal use of these plates on the road, by choosing "buy it now" you are agreeing to these terms and conditions of sale, We cannot be held responsible for any fines or convictions resulting from using these plates for any purpose but for the one for which they were designedSo to get "Road legal" Plates you need to show them a V5 document or similar? stator
To be legal there are two requirements:A) It has to be made to the BS standard It has to show the Supplier, Manufacturer and BS standard on the plateYou can confirm by looking at it, but you can't really confirm A) unless you have a copy of the BS standard, and I think you have to pay for that.It seems to be a matter of confusion amongst police officers and the general public. I would stick with a plastic one if you don't want the hassle.
Pete91
Just buy from dubmeister and print everything off from the site that say they're legal. Seems to be a common theme of people buying from eBay and getting pulled.
