kenny1
I had my 5th gear replaced a while back. The gearbox place put the wrong ratio in. 5th is now exactly the same as 4th.They refused to put the correct gear back in and now I need to get it fixed. Can anyone help? What is the 5th gear ratio and where should I buy it from? There's some on ebay but I'm not sure which to buy...nor who can fit it? Is it easy to do yourself by taking the inspection plate off? I have changed the clutch in the past but I don't know much about gearbox internals.I'm in Sheffield BTW.thanks Edited May 28, 2013 by kenny1

Karl_Mac_
Have you tried speaking to JBS in Chesterfield? They should be able to help or at least point you in the right direction
GTIChris
You need to return it to who "fixed" it tell them its not fit for purpose and demand they do the job they were paid to do.If they still refuse tell them you'll involve trading standards etc.
