StevenOd Posted March 19, 2013 Report Share Posted March 19, 2013 Hey guys, noticed that one of my caliper carriers had seized on and were in pretty bad condition, had to renew my pads and discs due to this. Want wanting to renew the carrier bolt with the slide and the rubber grommet but vw are wanting £65 just for this which is think is sickening for 4 little bolts really! StevenOd Posted March 21, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2013 The old bolts were all rounded so I had to cut away all the rubber to get into the bolts ( badly had to change pads on the near side as the sliders had seized and pads were down to metal. ) once I cut away the rubbers I had to use a set of vice grips to get them out!
