oil for tdi

Recommended Posts

Just messaged someone from ebay abouit a lupo tdi who says that it is important for the tdi's to have a special (certain) oil when changed. Is that true or is it just a certain grade thats needed like most cars? apparently the engine will pack in after 120,000 if wrong oil used. do they really need to be serviced at vw?

Its just that with my budget i might have to get a higher mileage one but dont want a dog.

Thanks

Michael

I smell Faecal Matter.

tdi's can be serviced at home fine, you just need the correct grade and to make sure its got the right VW specification.

5w40 Fully synthetic. must be suitable for the VW PD engines!
