RobbHancock
Hey guys, my 1.4 mk1 Arosa has always been a bit stiff in the gears but recently, it's been getting noticeably bad. It crunches EVERY time I go to put it in reverse, it sometimes pops out of reverse, it is really resistant to go into gears (especially first) and all this, even though my foot is right down on the clutch. It's always had a high clutch (don't know if that's the same for all Arosa's/lupos but my bite point has always been stupidly high...Could it be a problem with either the gearbox or clutch? or could it just be getting on a bit? also, if anyone has had problems like these, how much did it set you back to get it fixed?Cheers guys! Al3xTee
I had a similar problem, wasn't so serious but I had a small leak on my gearbox. I just topped up with gearbox oil and it smoothed up. Don't know if it helps but there you go Edited October 9, 2012 by Arosa.Al
hi_tower
Is your pedal box ok? Pedals all at the same height? If the clutch pedal is lower than the brake pedal it could be the pedal box on its way out. This would cause the symptoms you described.
