Oil leak advise

I'm a mechanic and my little brother in law has asked me to look at a Lupo 1.4 Sport that he wants to buy.

It looks a really nice car only issue I could spot was an oil leak.

But I couldn't see where its coming from so I wanted to see if you guys who know these cars inside out i'm sure could shed some light on it.

- Its on the rear side of the engine.

- You can see the stain where its been leaking onto where the gearbox meets the engine. Right near the starter motor.

- There seemed to be fresh wet oil on the underside of the throttle body.

- It has the metal inlet manifold on this model and the throttle body sits above the starter motor.

Anyone got any ideas?

I ran my fingers around the head gasket line and didn't find any oil so I don't think its that, but it is cramped around the back and I couldn't get my fingers into all of it.

I'm going to go back with a torch and mirror today and would appreciate your thoughts as I don't know vw's at all.
