RichGriffiths9
Idling rough done the throttle body previously and father ( vw service manager ) said to clean egr but didn't mention the water cooled part lmao so watched my coolant piss over the floor. Got the egr calibrated and throttle body reset to basic settings and car is running sweet as now perfect idle and more responsive still slow but better.Rich Edited February 25, 2012 by RichGriffiths9
Blaine
how do you re-calibrated the EGR? does it have to be done at VW?
RichGriffiths9
I used vw machines but think other programs like vagcom can be used Rich
Blaine
okay thanks i'l have to see if my mates machine will do it...i'm guessing mine needs re-calibrating as it's a brand new EGR but it's still telling me it has excesive EGR flow. Blaine
so you need an actual computer program to do it...or just the code reader thing?Blaine
RichGriffiths9
A computer I tied my code reader and did nothing maybe a good snap on one or something along the lines of that.
