MrSloanes
I got some p slot's ready to go on car when I get some tyres, I really have no idea what tyre size I am needing as afte reading tyre size stuff online I still don't understand them! Basically I want a sidewall roughly half the size they are now on standard tyres, not too fussed about stretch, just don't want monster truck wheels lol. Any ideas? pieface
175/50R14 I would say, or if you want a bit of stretch, go for 165/50R14
puggled
Logic would say if you want half the sidewall you'd want 185 30 r14 tyres, but since they don't exist you'll need to find something different you like.Standard size is 185 55 r14 by the way. puggled
175/50R14 I would say, or if you want a bit of stretch, go for 165/50R14Even they are no where near half the sidewall size. 82mm vs 111mm.I think the OP might need to revise their expectations. pieface
Just realised that the P slots are 6J so I would personally go for 155/55R14Theres some pics of that profile and stretch here;http://www.tyrestretch.com/page/search/
MrSloanes
Are that size hard to get though or would most tyre places have them?
pieface
Nankang NS2 come in 155/55/R14 which are about £40 on mytyres.co.ukotherwise look for 155/65/R14http://www.camskill.co.uk/m4b0s391p0/Car_Tyres_-_MPV_Tyres_-_People_Carrier_Tyres_-_14_inch_R14_inch_-_155_65_14_155_65_R_14
AshArosa
195/45/14 all round would be perfect, The wheel is only 6j to start off with so you dont want to run stretch on that ! MrSloanes
Just priced up 195/45/14 and they saying falcon and around £72 per tyre for them!
puggled
Have to agree I'd rather go wider than skinnier. If you went 195 vs 155 then you have nearly an extra inch and a half width on the contact patch.
MrSloanes
Cool. I'll see what prices I can get. No chance I am playing 72 quid a tyre
