VinnyGTI Posted August 23, 2011 Report Share Posted August 23, 2011 It could be the airbag slip ring. I had the problem on my GTI and it was replaced under warranty twice. Went to the shop and the guy just put a card behind the steering wheel, turned left and right a few times and that removed debris on that place. Never had the problem again.
