Was just wondering what ways have people done this on here? marcusgrant Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 I've got an audi a8 boot button in the rear 'bin' behind the drivers seat. It takes power from the live feed to the cigarette (sp) lighter, to the button, then runs up the side of the car into the boot. It then goes to a solenoid (bought off ebay) which pulls on the boot latch and pops the boot open. Its simple but quite time consumming. Had to drill holes in the boot (not the skin!) so the solenoid could be positioned in a way which meant the boot trim could go back on.
