craigg!!
Pedalbox, gearbox. There's two detailed threads on here full of the info you need on both of them, but as far as I know look out for the clutch pedal being higher than the brake and difficulty to select gears I believe that's signs of the pedal box going (don't hold me to that as mine hasn't went...yet) and as far as the gear box goes give it a good drive and listen for whining gears. Mine started to whine in 5th around 50mph+ then all gears started after a long drive. Cambelts are due every 40k or 4years whichever comes first. Hope this helps and good luck with your search. Daimo
Thats brilliant thankyou, i'll look for that. I'll ahve a search for the other post too.Its a 2000 model so will check about the cambelt.Theres not much about them online is there. Im guessing its a 15-20k service interval as well? I'll try to use the search function as well Thanks
JB1.0e
The service intervals will be 10,000miles or every 12months

si_leeds
Look out for clutch being lower than the break mate not higher, also make sure it doesn't grind into reverse as this is a sign on pedal box failure too. Check for stiff gear changes and excessive blue exhaust smoke
