Reese Posted June 18, 2011 Report Share Posted June 18, 2011 (edited) Mine is like this also, I haven't bothered to fix it yet all it requires is a firm tap on the handle after turning the key and then it opens! Give it a tryEDIT: I didn't fully read your first post, I don't have a spinning barrel though.... when I turn the key the pin pops up but the handle requires a bang to get the door open.. Verity Posted June 18, 2011 Report Share Posted June 18, 2011 Is it that it's attually locked (as in lock pin is stick down) or jammed (lock mechanism not working) ? The passenger door on my old polo jammed shut.The key barrel went on that one day. After that it kept playing up, had a mind of it's own. Until a week before my MOT it had enough and jammed shut for good. Had to bend the door card back, and attack the lock mechanism with a screw driver, until it released opening the door. I then brought a new one from a scrappy. And a key barrel fix kit off eBay (I don't know what brings it on, I thought it was something to do with the barrel breaking, but my drivers door played up twice to, and the barrel on that side worked fine) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
