leweylupo Posted December 24, 2010 Report Share Posted December 24, 2010 Weired one this I have a lupo gti 2003 (electric windows) front drivers side goes all way down until bottom 3rd & won't go any further, been fine never had any problems.Bit of a nuisance as cars lowered & everyday have to use car park & have to get out to wave pass so can get in car park.(have to get out of car to wave pass now)This has just happened is there a child lock or something on it or a a switch that might have gone funny ??any advice/help appreciated.thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

marco-polo Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 Didn't work for me sadly.Mine did this on both sides - Turned out it was the little plastic clip thingy that runs up and down the guide mechanism had snapped / cracked.Because the retaining clip had bust, the window was running 'off course' towards the bottom of the guide / runner and jamming.A new part is required - the stealers quoted a new regulator inclusive of said part for approx £40.
