ELECTRIC WINDOW DRIVERS SIDE STOPS BOTTOM 1/3

Recommended Posts

Weired one this

I have a lupo gti 2003 (electric windows) front drivers side goes all way down until bottom 3rd & won't go any further, been fine never had any problems.

Bit of a nuisance as cars lowered & everyday have to use car park & have to get out to wave pass so can get in car park.(have to get out of car to wave pass now)

This has just happened is there a child lock or something on it or a a switch that might have gone funny ??

any advice/help appreciated.

thanks

wiring harness for door internals could be loose, i've experienced this , the wiring passes over the internal door strap and can become lodged under the frame/glass

Didn't work for me sadly.

Mine did this on both sides - Turned out it was the little plastic clip thingy that runs up and down the guide mechanism had snapped / cracked.

Because the retaining clip had bust, the window was running 'off course' towards the bottom of the guide / runner and jamming.

A new part is required - the stealers quoted a new regulator inclusive of said part for approx £40. (supply only)

I managed to get the hole kit with cables, plastic part etc for £20 at the local scap yard.
