t31kle
right im thinking of lowering my lupo on adjustable coilovers90 on the front90 on the back,i have standard vw lupo alloys on that have a 185 55 14 tyre on,am i going to have any issues lowering my car this low?or will it rub on the rear arches or will it miss and just tuck inside? i also tend to have people in the back aswell.cheers
b19jow
Best thing to do is drop it right to the bottom then start working up till you get no rubbing. Tbh you should be able to go all the way to the bottom on the rear and take the adjusters out and should still be able to take a full car. Front is slightly different. Just got to find what suits your roads/driving? The best thing about coilovers are they are adjustable.
Philplop
How will you set the coilovers to 90mm?There is no way of knowing how much lower it is going to buy until you have all the wheels fitted, it's back on the ground and the springs have settled after a week or so.Set it to a height you like, don't worry about measurements.Whether it wll rub is down to trail and error. t31kle
ye thats what i was thinking, but i wasnt sure, this is my first vw so im kinda new to lowering on coil overs as my last car was a saxo vts and having a crappy torsion bar you drop all the way down and not a problem at all
t31kle
@philplop - the coilovers iv seen will go down to 90mm on the front and 95mm on the back so i was just roughly going off them dimensions
