si_leeds
i noticed the other day when i was driving to work that my temp needl hadn't moved at all, then suddenly it shot up to runnin temperature, then before loing it dropped again, then went up again, its been doing it on and off for the last 2 days now.is this likely to be the temp sensor or something more serious?the heaters blow hot all the time so i know the engine is hot even though the needle says it not.also is it safe to drive until i find out what the problem is and buy a part?and if it is the temp sensor does anyone know how easy they are to replace?oh and its a 1.4 16v cheers

nfbr
Sometimes it is just the sensor that causes the problem, However I've had two before now that I've worked on where it has been the actual Wiring/Plug that clips onto the connector!
