smye87
Just brought a Seat Arosa and I've realised I may be a victim of dropping doors. Also just registered on here. When the doors are closed, they sit flush with the line from the rear windows. When the doors are open, and are pressed as close to the car as possible (ie, shut position), they sit lower than the line from the rear windows. It makes an unhealthy noise as it tries to "jump" up to the correct position when closing.I don't fancy opening the passenger door unnecessarily in the mean time as it sounds like I'm doing damage, the drivers door isn't too bad.I'm in Fife and the closest SEAT dealership is 15 miles away in Glenrothes. I was hoping there'd be a VAG garage closer and cheaper.Anyone chuck me a life line?Cheers.Smye
Silver!
Sounds like your doors have both dropped and your check straps have gone. Have you got marks on the paint where the door touches the sill?Check out Scottish VAG for specialist closer to yourself.

No marks on the sills - I'm already not really taking passengers till this coming Monday which is when the garage are checking it out (as well as wheel balace and tracking :@)Any quick headsup as to what the best lowering kit option is for my car just now? I just fancy getting it lowered nicely on the standard alloys. Decent ones though that are good quality, even though I'm on a budget ; I'm thinking slightly smaller deep dish wheels for a good Euro look :-)Cheers.Smye Edited December 17, 2009 by smye87
