mat.m.
Hi,I have a set of Goodridge brake hoses for my GTI, straight out the box the fronts look okay but the rears are confusing me... the rear pipe is on the car is a hard line with a soft line swaged onto it.. i may be wrong as it was dark when i looked. It also looks far too short..Am i missing something?Photos:Apologies for the camera phone quality,ThanksMat Edited November 23, 2009 by mat.m. 99hjhm
Have alook further under the car, these bridge the beam I think....They don't fit near the calipers. When I do mine, I will make a new hard lines across the beam, and fit custom braided hoses into the calipers. mat.m.
I will have a look.Goodridge will knock them up for you if you make some 'masters' then send them to them. I think EARLS is another company who can do them for you.. Let me know when you do it i may get you to make two sets!
CasperGTI
James is right, there is a small pipe that bridges the rear beam, thats the bit you replace when you do them. The rear pipes up by the caliper are braided already iirc. Mine are rubber.Need to make the hard line in copper or copper nickel, with flared ends.Didn't go for the ones with the SS fittings then?
