Help!! Coilovers making car handle horribly.

Recommended Posts

Ive had my coilovers on for about a month or so and the car after having the camber and tracking done feels dangerous and handles horribly the car seems to be walking all over the road.. I dont know weather i need certain information to give to the mechanic to get it driving flat again. What should i do.

Thanks Matt G

Do you think the mechanic knows what he's doing??? I'm thinking he might have got the tracking totally wrong.

Yeah i think he tracked it up and did the camber for the stancard suspension. They are jamex coilovers and they were ok until he started playing.

Do you think i should go to a performance car specialist to get it done.... will they have more of an idea???

Thanks matt

If its tram-lining, then its probably badly set up camber angle.

Jamex coilovers are covered by the statement in my signature I'm affraid...

Its nothing to do with the coilovers ,doesnt matter if there £200 or £1000 if the the camber and tracking angles are all over the place its going to handle like a pig

No but if I had a quid for every person who'd bought "Cheep coilovers" for a lupo gti and ended up having to file the struts mount points out to get the camber angle anywhere near what it should be :coffee:
