My Lupo 1.0

Hi everybody..

I'm a new member here and thought it would be a good idea to start with a showcase of my car.

It's a 2000 mod 1.0 with no extra equipment at all. Most of the Lupo's that where bought new in Norway in 99/00 came with the small engine and no extras.

When I bought the car it looked like this.

First thing I did was to give it a proper clean and give it some protection with Duragloss products.

Tucked inn for the night

First thing I did was to get black badges while I waited for my coilovers and black headlights to arrive.

And finally we got the TA Technics coilovers and headlights.

A friend of mine had some original steels from his Rabitt Gti mk1 that we also put on.

Then I got some cupholders from the dealer, also changed the original speakers and headunit to some Pioneer. (HU not pictured)

After spending a day polishing it with my Flex and Menzerna polish the car looked like this.

Last thing I did was to debadge the rear, but this is only temporary since I'm planning to put on a black "Lupo"-badge soon.

Hopefully I will get some ATS cups later today, but time will show..

Hope you like it, and comments are always nice to get..

(And excuse my grammar and bad sentences, not easy for an Norwegian to get it right everytime.)

Thanks Amber.

Been out and collection some new wheels today.

ATS cup 7x15, I know most of you know what wheels I'm talking about but I'm adding a picture for those who don't know. ;)

Unfortunately the paint is in a bad shape and also they are all silver now, so I need to refurb them in the correct colours.

Thanks man. Trying my best to look after this beauty.. :)

And by the way, anyone want to guess what the price for a Lupo 2000 with 1.0 and 90000 km is in Norway now??

Around £4000.... Think they went for around £15 000 when they were new for 10 years ago...

You guys and girls should be lucky you live in the right country....

Thanks, looking forward to putting on the ATS wheels again when all this snow disappears..

Yeah I'm pretty happy with the TA technix coilovers.

Off course it would be nice with some driving comfort, the TA are pretty hard. ;)

Bought them from Parts and retards and I think he also can get you some FK coilovers.

Also I think my gearbox is broken, going to the garage today. :(

The gearbox is now fixed so now I can spend some time on what I really wanted to do with my lupo.

Bought some 3M sound dampening plates to reduce the road noise from the trunk of the car.

Anybody else that has done this? Hopefully this will reduce the noise inside the car... ;)

Found some old pictures that I haven't posted yet.

The black Lupo-badge, did a bad job on this. So now it looks like crap...

A reflection shot after polishing my friends Corolla. Anybody notice whats wrong here..

Some beading shots of Collinite 476 after around 3 months in harsh norwegian climate.

Nice to have a "self-cleaning" car. :)

Last picture before I put the winter wheels on the car. I miss summer and my ATS Cups.

And some crappy pictures from my phone to compare the height versus a standard Lupo.

I run TA technics all the way down at the back, with the adjuster. And 10mm from the bottom at the front.

Just bought a under bonnet sound dampening plate from VW, remember to order clips to attach it when you order it.

And also installed some Hong Kong Leds for my interior light and rear numberplate light.

The interior light is too much blue for my taste, so gonna order a new white LED soon.

Will try to post some pictures after the easter.

Been a long time since the last time I updated this thread.

First a picture showing the difference between width on summer vs vinter wheels.. =)

And sadly I have to sell my lupo, just bought a mkv GTI so can't justify to have two cars parked outside the apartment.

Have to admit it's a bit more fun with 200PS instead of 50PS, and the DSG-box is just brilliant..

So these are the photos used in the ad.

Wheels are original 13" with 175/70-13 wintertyres and the suspension is raised a couple of cm for the winter.

Sadly my Lupo is now sold...

So I will add some pictures of my new car (Unfortunately on winter wheels) and the two last pictures I took of my Lupo.

Before I sold it i removed the coilovers, and it was running on winter wheels.

The new owner got my coilovers and wheels so hopefully it will be low again before the summer.

And lastly I would like to thank everyone on this forum for all the help you have given me both through DIY's and through different threads.

I guess I will still stay in the background on this forum, and hopefully I will be back with another Lupo sometime in the future..

best regards Stein

I enjoyed looking through your posts man.

I've been wanting to see how low the TA technics coilies can take a loop as mine is in serious need of a drop.

Im planning to run mine without the adjusters but i would like to know what else i can do to get the back end lower on a relatively low budget, any recommendations?

thanks.
