paulbin
well i could fit the spoiler for nothing for u, i will have to ask the boss about painting the spoiler and the bumper, would u want it smoothing aswell
Tigz™
You could smooth it as well? What could be smoothed on it?
paulbin
just the texturing on the lower half of the bumper, none of the gap as it might crack,
Tigz™
Will you get me a price with it smoothed like you discribed please, and without as Im pretty skint so I dont know how much I can afford at the moment.Does the prices I got quoted seem high to you? paulbin
oh yea forgot to add, wen lookin at the back bumper i noticed that the centre part is just a bit they stick onto the bumper, so anyone wanting a centre exit probably could have one if the centre part is available
Tigz™
Really? So you'd just cut the shape then stick on a cover? So in thory then, one could be stuck on either side R32 style?
paulbin
not really the only thing i can say is the prices of the full respray and the colour change. The reason why the the original colour respray is cheaper he might just laquer the original paint or even just polish it
Tigz™
He did tell me that VW paintwork is really poor. He said there is only a very thin layer of laquer over the paint.
paulbin
yep i thought also about one on each side but that may not work because of the shape of the bumper nearer the edges, but it would be good to find out if the centre cover is actually a part
Tigz™
Paul I had a word with one of our suppliers at work today. He said he will do me the spoiler and front bumper for £120.Is that a good price for a proppa bodyshop job?
paulbin
if its a good paint job then sounds good to me, wot about fitting??
Tigz™
The spoiler just wants bonding on, and I cant see the front under bumper being difficult to fit.Never bonded anything so may be back for advice style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />Hows yours coming along?
