jeyesh Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) Well, the rule is 4 years or 40,000 miles.So your car is 8 and a bit years old with 75,000 miles on the clock.It is pretty much WELL overdue as it has even surpassed the original 6 years or 60,000 miles interval that VW first had.I would be slightly weary of the car tbh, but if the price is really cheap it may be worth, but it is a risk.Saying that though, if the previous owner(s) skimped on the cambelt then they may have skimped on other service items as well.....Edit: just realised that you mentioned it had service history, check out throughly whats done and what hasn't Edited February 5, 2009 by jeyesh Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
