Recommended Posts

hi,

my girlfriends electric windows will not work and wondered if anybody on here has had a problem or knows what it may be???

when you push the switch's you hear a click from the side your trying to open/close. checked the fuses and these are fine. could it be a relay maybe??? also which 1 isit??? or is this a common problem like motors burnt out ????

cheers

passenger side went up the shixxer the other day on mine with the clicking too.check for bad earths first, motor may not be able to drawn good voltage, mine ended up being the motor tho.if the window is stuck in the up position the little 10mm nuts clamping the window are alittle awkward to get to. :)

hi thanks for the reply's,

the windows was working when the car was bought a year ago. (however the passenger side didnt go either up or down on 1 off the switch's but was still working on the others fine).

i did think the same about the switch's sending the power to motors but is seems kind of like there is power getting to the motors but not enough to move them which made me think relay maybe or if there is a single earth which is prone to getting bad ??

i not great with electronics lol
