Head unit LED's

Recommended Posts

Right peeps,

I've just fitted my beautiful pioneer p77mp head unit....but I'm gagging to keep the moody purple and red lighting!

Does anyone know of any guides or where to get hold of the little surface mount leds. I dont really want to rip the facia apart until I have to...just wondered if there's like a standard led type.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cant believe how good the standard little speakers are unitl I turned this bad boy on!!

You will only really know what package they are when you see them, then finding out the attributes such as forward voltage and current

can also be a pain.

you would want a smd led , as said there are plenty different ones .. i bought some to make night blades for my heli .. they are SMALL !!

SMD refers to Surface Mount Device, as you've said they are very very small and quite hard to solder to,

usually they're done in an oven or by using some rather specialist kit.
