  1. Cheers, yeah I'll deffo keep them...just considering changing the ones on the boot to r32 items, as these ones have no leds in them anyway. I just think they're brighter than the outer parts for no reason. It is a very good upgrade. I'm driving it very sensibly at the mo, and I'm returning 35mpg...costing £60 to fill up and getting nigh on 400 miles from that. It can be chucked into corners with just as much abandon as the loop, but this just has bags of torque to pull out of them. And hearing the recirc of the turbo is my heaven Yeah they are normally the same, the most common upgrade people do is to put r32 lights on, which is a darker red tint (cherry red). Luckily these are the same red tint, so I can mix and match the two till I'm happy. The edition 30 has the r32 lights as standard. Yeah its silly that we never got them, especially as they match the rest of the vw line-up. There was also talk of them becoming standard, but the new models out next year anyways now! This is what they look like in action:

Depending on your commitments over here, you should definitely go for it! Sounds like a great opportunity
  3. Well here's my replacement for the loop. Now with led rear lights from germany. Had to mod the inner parts on the boot, switching the fog light and reverse light colours...it was a mish! These are an official vw accessory in germany, but the uk dealers declined having them over here! I think I'm gonna switch the inners for a set from an r32 or edition 30, as I find these led ones too bling. And yes...I will get the back lower bumper colour coded, possibly next month when I have some money lol.
  4. I needed a bra on my loop...coz there was a tit behind the wheel
  5. Hey cut me some slack...I'm off work for 2 weeks, and as bored as you like!!
  6. Here's the money shot what a wierdo
  7. Its o.k claire I have fonder memories of the gti because of all the looks it got and the cars it embarassed. But you cant deny that the s is a cracking little motor. Of course the pedal box question should be asked, it was too new when we had it for that to be an issue.
  8. Yup, small world. It was a lovely little motor that, the only reason we sold it was because of the clutch, she thought it sounded like it would break at any minute....women eh! Its one of those cars I have such fond memories of
  9. OMG! I used to own this car! Well it was technically my g/f's at the time. As you can imagine I regretted not keeping the plate lol. We didn't even have it a year, but we had no real problems with it, although it had a noisy clutch release bearing as I recall.

Indeed it was That renegade meet was quite good! And the vr6 turbos were quality!
  11. Happy Birthday Claire I hope you get what you want....probably a unicorn or summit lol

Wehey...saw your motor at the renegade meet! I also saw it once when I was at lindvale with my lupo. My car felt very new and very standard at that meet lol Yours looks great.
  13. Arthur's saying "I really should get ready for my date. I wonder if she'll wear the pink feather boa i like!!"

Your loop was great...and the mk2 looks immaculate! How long before a 1.8t is inserted??
  15. lol....a proper ford owner already!
  16. Mmmmmm, non existant arch gappery! I like! Looking great Matt
  17. Cheers for the comments Matt your golf is looking awesome...very jealous of your wheels. You are right about the skirts and valences, so I might get hold of a second standard rear valence and only have the top section painted, leaving the small section with the exhaust textured. Would break it up a bit but still look OEM. If I can run to an edition 30 valence I will I'm now thinking about getting the LED rear lights, what you reckon? Thank god my iPhone works on the ipod kit....couldn't do without it now!
  18. Here she is! I'm missing the attention the lupo got...but I am loving the golf already. When I'm not skint (which will be a long time) the planned mods are: MFD2 of some sort R32 rear lights Colour coded skirts and rear valence Shark fin ariel
  19. I would love to but mine is not new, and I couldn't run to a second hand edition 30, let alone one of these. 240 bhp is only a remap away for me anyway lol, as if I won't be skint as it is
  20. I'll give you a pm when I've decided...don't want this turning into a for sale thread (lol, a bit late I know) Yeah, its a challenge I'm willing to accept! I opted out of the vw wheel protection stuff, which I imagine being a very expensive form of wd40. £150 it was. Yeah the wheels had me confuzzed for a while, they are stunning, but I had a chat with the angry snail that lives in the engine bay of the golf and he showed me the future!
  21. Thanks for all the nice comments guys, to say I'm excited is a massive understatement! I just hope the dvla is quick with the number plate transfer. I've had the loop for about a year, and will be sad to see it go, everyone loves it. I will miss the go-kart style, but the golf is hardly a flop round the twisties! And I need boost lol. I will also have a pair of cambridges, a bra and a flip key for sale soon.
  22. Niiiiiiiiice I like all of the colours....but this is nicely different from the norm. They are brand spanking new kw variant 1's....which I believe are stainless yes. I'll give you a pm when I decide on price.
  23. Right peeps, I have done the unthinkable and put a deposit down for another vehicle....trading in the loop. This is the vehicle in question (can you blame me): I wasn't sure about the colour at first...but in the flesh its lovely and all metalicy! So these will be for sale VERY soon...totally unused (doh!)
  24. I dont think I'll be able to make it now guys....I've got a heavy late night tomorrow...and my bird wont want to get up early enough for us to leave and get there at a decent time!
  25. He he....they're awesome..top job
