Headunit not working

Recommended Posts

My headunit just turned off the other week during listening to some loud dance music. My dad changed the fuse in the headunit at the back, this didnt make any difference it still wouldnt work.

My original SEAT tape player/radio works though so i've got that plugged in for now.

Today I got a brand new headunit for cheap so fitted it and doesnt work, so obviously theres nowt wrong with either headunit.

So had a look at the fuse panel. Changed the fuse I thought it was for the radio and still doesnt work.. But because I dont have all the optional extras in my car there are a few fuses missing so it may have been the wrong one I changed.

Does this sound like its the fuse thats the problem?

Edit: Checked fuse 42 and its fine, and I havn't got a fuse in 20 and none will fit in, doesnt hold them in. Does this mean that when it blew, it didnt just blow a fuse it blew something important?
