How do you check the gearbox oil level...i have major crunching gears an what i think may be a gear oil leak from the box. Tigz™ Posted April 29, 2007 Report Share Posted April 29, 2007 At the front of your gearbox there is a large hex bolt (inverted like an allan key bolt)Remove this bolt and stick in a finger.You should be able to feel the oil no more than 2mm from the bottom of this hole.
