mpaton2005
Hi,I'm hoping to get my TDI 1.4 sorted this week with a Revo remap. My question is what would the acceleration time be after the remap? I'm used to bikes so I'm not expecting anything amazing, but I would like it to be something similar to the GTi (around 8.5) - currently it's about 12.The guy reckons he can get between 20-30 more horses as standard without any extras like exhausts/air filters etc. I don't know if this is realistic?Cheers
Snoopy
You'll probably get around 100bhp with a Revo remap. Given that the TDI is (I think?) heavier than the GTI, and probably about the same as the sport, I'd expect somewhere between 9 and 10 seconds to 60 realistically.Of course, 0-60 is a pretty pointless measurement for anything other than boasting down at the pub. You'll have way more torque than a GTI, which will make it feel quite fast, and be nice and easy to drive.
sleeky tdi
Are you sure you want a revo remap? Lynsey got poor results with hers, hence why she had the amd.As for 0-60, id say about 10 seconds, diesels are never that quick off the line, as snoop says its about the torque, and the mid-range pick up is where diesels shine style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />Lee. mpaton2005
Thanks all,Maybe Revo isn't the best way to go then? Are there any other good tuning makes and where would be the closest dealer in the North West to get this done? I don't really want to drive to Jabbasport if they're in Peterborough.CheersMartin
