Tigz™ Posted July 12, 2005 Report Share Posted July 12, 2005 Theres nothing between them mate.I like the Alpine as Im used to useing it now, and I like the little features that come in handy when it comes to setting up your system.6v pre-outs is a bit of a marketing scam tbh mate.Dont get me wrong, 6v can be better than 4v, but most amps will only are designed to take 2 or 4v anyway, so its a bit pointless.the higher the preout, the lower you need to have the gains on the amp.But your not gonna be anywhere near the limit where you'd need more than 2v anyway.But yes.Phoenix Gold are very good when it comes to amps.they use the same power supp0ly found in JL's amps if I remember correctly.
