Had this Lupo 1.4 16v for a couple of years now and has sat on the drive for various reasons (too many projects) but decided to get to work on it and saw the EPC light was on and the car would not start up battery fully charged and no immobiliser issues plus has 1/2 tank of fuel.

Any advice please would be helpful plus also how to reset it once it is done.

Whilst I am on here how difficult is it to replace the lower door hinge pin drivers side ?

Many thanks in advance people :)

Easy one first... driver's lower door hinge. Swap it. Easiest way. Exact same as mk4 golf rear right door upper hinge. Trickiest bit is getting the door alignment right again. Access from inside and from outside, through the hinge gap. Spline tool bit. 👍🏻

Starting a petrol engine that's been sitting for a while without shut down prep, usually means the rings get stuck. The exhaust gases in the exhaust system condense out on the bare metal and corrode the innerds. And keeps corroding... You could try adding a few drops of clean engine oil into each spark plug hole to help increase the compression. Once/if it starts, run it to full temperature or take it for a thrash. No idling. Let us know how you go.

Have compression found epc light on and located issue with accelerator pedal sensor faulty. Hidden deep under dash is it a dash out or possible another way links appreciated. Looks to be a cyclinder with a cam and cable with a loop on the end that the end of the pedal clips into.
