chrisbwy Posted November 8, 2022 Report Share Posted November 8, 2022 Hi All, After 17 years of ownership it's time to start restoring the 2004 GTI. It's suffered underneath sadly. My restorer has asked me to try find a better condition rear beam. I've been reading on here for the last few hours about rear beams but would like to ask for clarification, sorry. What do I need exactly? Will only a GTI rear beam fit? What are my options? Does anybody have a good one that I can blast (without it falling to rusty dust) and powder coat? Does anybody have a rear beam exploded diagram so I can understand all the components, brakes, splash guards, nuts & bolts etc. Your help and advice as always much appreciated.
