Kevj3241
Hi all, looking to get back into a Lupo (had 2 before) but never really did much with them. I am looking at a 2003 1.0e local to me, not been to see it yet, but have been told there is a bit of rust on the drivers rear sill - it was also an advisory on the last MOT, but not the one before, so makes me think it is only a "bit". How much of an arse-ache is it to repair? Is it just a case of replacing the rust bit? Also, how much would it cost to replace the brake pipes as the fronts are corroded (another advisory). Car will mainly be for me, but also for my son to learn in so needs to be safe. Thanks.
ObjectiveAway
The whole rear end of sill most probably is rusted, Lupos typically have rust on front (under wings) and rear of sill, arches is only one more indicator of heavy rust. You should remove the rear wheel housing liner, and, after removing dirt, I am pretty sure you will be able to press your fingers trought end of sill. Check both sides.
