Languid
I've got a weird one. I just picked up a 2001 Lupo, with the regulator blown on the alternator. Having bolted in a replacement (a Valeo in place of the Bosch), there is still no charge to the battery. The wiring appears to be correct. I then checked the B+ wire to the battery, and it is open circuit. So far, I cannot find any break in the lead, but without a wiring diagram, I don't know exactly where this lead actually runs (after leaving the alternator and before it connects to the battery. Does anyone one know if there is another iconnection point, or does anyone have a wiring diagram? I've looked in Elsawin, and cannot find. Sausage
Fuse block by the battery terminal?
Languid
That's what I thought, but that is bolted to the terminal. Somewhere inbetween there and the B+ terminal on the alternator, there is a break in the circuit, and I cannot make sense of it.
Sausage
And the fuse is good?
Languid
Thank you for that one! I cannot believe that I didn't spot that: it's blown. What rating is it supposed to be?
Sausage
110A I think, it should be stamped into somewhere.
