James_andrew Posted November 14, 2015 Report Share Posted November 14, 2015 Hi guysMy sister's GTI has started misfiring, plugged it in and it's brought up 0204 and 0304 leading us to believe it's an injector problem.I have available a few 1.4 injectors, do they fit and work the same? carrera-gt Posted November 15, 2015 Report Share Posted November 15, 2015 Injectors have 3 parameters so you need to check before using.There are two resitance grpups, low <7 ohms high >14 ohms so first check is, low or high and are they all the same?you can't mix low and high injectors do not try you will blow the output in your ECU if you get it wrongThe other 2 paramters are flow and operating pressure, they are linked so so much per hour at a specified pressure.It's likley that your 1.4 injectors even if they will work, won't flow enough fuel at higer revs in a 1.6 motor which will mean lean running never a good thing.The ECU can adapt up to a point, but once you get the maximum opening time of the injector no more fuel can go in.
