  1. I recently bought a VW lupo 1.0 and it has an issue with the heater that it doesn't work on any setting it originally had an issue with water leaking into the car due to blocked drain holes below the windscreen. The car has had the entire interior removed bar the dashboard ,doorcards and the headliner everything else had been removed to be cleaned and dried out. After this had been done I moved onto the issue of the heater not working so I bought a used heater resistor which is known good but still didn't work. The fan is fully functional as was tested by being connected directly to the battery the fuse has been tested and replaced and is not the issue does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?
  2. hi there on the hunt for some solutions. My lupo heater is really struggling to blow any hot air and with winter here its become more of an issue. I recently got a new fuse for the heater which sorted the problem of it only blowing on 4 so now its working on all settings. The only time i get any heat is if im only going slow so im assuming having less air coming in to the engine gives it more time to heat and this is the only time the temperature guage lifts off the bottom of the scale as well. but if i speed up over 15mph it quickly goes back to cold. as i said ive already changed the fuse and i topped up the coolant as well to see if that was the problem but it hasnt really helped. could it be an issue with my drivers side fuses or something about the air intake for the engine? the car came with no connection piece to the cold air intake (http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?/topic/103554-oil-breather-pipe-missing-what-do-i-need-to-do/#comment-1167942) would this be the cause of the problem? as allways all help is appreciated
  3. Hey Guys, I recently bought a Lupo 02 but having difficulties with my heater dials as there's no illumination, I've been told it could be bulbs, however, taking away part of the dash it looks as though it's built in. I'm happy to replace the whole unit, however, getting it out is proving somewhat difficult, the only solution I can see is to remove the entire lower dash, centre console and gator. Would be great if anyone has any quick solutions as I'd rather not undergo the above surgery for a lousy tenners work. My dash is of the MK2 model and isn't as simple as the MK1 model. Thanks
  4. Hello, I'm looking to give my dashboard a small upgrade, so far i have started with replacing the radio that was stock with a Sony one. I'm looking to change my gear stick knob also and would like any links to some that yous think are good looking and comfy and if someone one could explain the process in replacing one that would be great also I'm also on the looking for the dials that control the heating and AC, if yous have any links to metal or chrome ones that would be great! And finally if yous have any suggestions on what I should do to the dashboard or interior please let me know Thank you David
  5. I have a Touran 55 Reg.(2005) i'm having sporadic problems with the interior heater system. most often it will not get hot enough but sometimes it does. i have already had the coolant thermostat changed which might have made some difference but the heat out of the heater is not good enough most of the time!
