  1. Anyone got any ideas why my Lupo GTi doesn't always start when the engine is warm? I've taken this to a couple of garages now, but non of them have even been able to replicate the fault, let alone fix it! An example I give them is I leave my house, and go to the petrol station (10 minute drive) ignition off, key out, leave it a couple of minutes while I fill up, go to start it again then it wont start (see attached video and try to ignore the beeping). After leaving the ignition off for 5-10 minutes then try and start the car, it'll work. The check engine light is on, the fault is apparently the engine temp sensor. However this has been replaced with an OEM part and all wiring has been check with nothing unusual to show. Any suggestions would be appreciated! 20180206_171553.mp4
  2. Hello, I have a 99 1.4s lupo that has a fault with the locks. I've looked around the forums for similar problems but I can't find any with the exact same problem!!! Basically my central locking is f@%ked!!!! I put the key in the lock and turn it, the central locking clicks as it unlocks (I know the central locking is deactivated because my little red alarm light stops flashing next to the lock) but the little popper doesn't pop up and the handle doesn't open the door. I can then turn the key the other way to reactivate the central locking and alarm. Right now I have to unlock the cars central locking then take the key out and use it to open the boot, then I can crawl through the car and unlock my door from the inside (but this isn't very practical). Basically does anyone have an idea what I need to replace ? Barrel ? Spring in the barrel? Wires for the central locking ? Any help would be much appreciated!!!!
  3. I have one big problem with my electric window on the driver side. Yes, i know that there is alot of threads out there with the same problem but i've tryed almost everything .. The window on the driverside had no problem going down, but never up. Not a singel itch of working when i pressed the button. Everytime i had to go over on the passagerside, put the key and turn and hold .. and whips the window went up. Almost 2 years had passed and i told my self, now i need to get this thing fixed. Ended up with the motor gave up and went to heaven .. Well well, a new electric motor and 275£ less money on the account i finally would get this thing working .. But with my luck, of course i would have the same problem! What now? Drove to VW dealer and orderd a new button .. 2 days later the time was in .. i replace the old button with a new one and pressed the button .. the windows went down, no problem. Pressed so it would go up, nothing. The window went down again .. tested the new button for the passager side, no problem. Up and down .. perfect. But the driverside only goes down .. dosent matter if i press up or down .. I haven't checked the electric yet .. Anyone who has a clue whats the problem?
