its not only service/warranty that are useless! i walked into my local vw showroom, to enquire about lupos and list price, delivery etc. conversation as follows; me "have you got any lupos gtis in stock?" nob "nope" me "none? new or used?" nob "nope. haven't seen any round here for a while....." long pause. i was waiting for "hold on, i'll see what kind of delivery time they are" or something along those lines, but he just didn't want to know. for all he knew i could've had the cash in my pocket!

AAAAAH! STOP! you're scaring the cr*p out of me. i was gonna get a gti as an economical runabout. but it sounds like it'll cost more to run than my evo! although i s'pose its better i found out now rather than later.

been researching the lupo a little bit for the missus, and the more i'm looking the more i'm fealing the urge to spend big wedge on modifying. i think i'm gonna end up hijacking her car! so... advice please on first mods? i'm thinking some coilovers and new wheels. what do u guys normally do first? it'll be a gti i will be getting (er... the missus will be getting!)

the reason i'm tempted by the lupo, is cos its not as common as corsas and saxos. the gf doesn't like the look of the lupo, so i said i'd tweek it a little for her, maybe some wheels and drop it a bit.

me and the gf need a `run-about`. (my cars too expensive on day2day use) she's 18 so we can't go mad. 1.6 engines about as big as we can go, so its between saxo vts, lupo gti, corsa gsi. it seems the lupo is more to buy, so u reckon its worth the extra? are they easily tuneable? cheap servicing?
