I was thinking probs go for 20mm anyway might as well be wider if im paying out, good tip cheers. I always thought they were for changing the pcd to 5x100 etc. Do you or anyone else know the best ones to get then? Ive heard of people having to tighten them every 5 minutes can't be doing that lol

Hi I've just bought a set of 13" ats classics with yoko tyres 175-50s. My lupo is the 1.0 btw, It seems that the bore on the wheels is direct fit but they catch on the front calipers so obviously the offset is too high. Now they are 6" wide so I don't mind spacing them out; I was wondering can you get spacers that have 57.1 on both sides? like just an extension of the original hub. Also any ideas what these would have been on as I thought most vws would be about 35-38 et where as these would probs need a 10-15mm spacer?

I find it hard to believe you get well over 50mpg driving uneconomically and over 60 taking it easy. you sure its not a tdi?

Without the bsau number and postcode of where it was made it will be an illegal plate even if it looks completely standard, which means mot failure i'm afraid. They only need to see it so you can drive to where it's getting done if you don't trust them/post etc. if it's near enough. If you're going down the pressed plate route I would get it leagally done as pc plod who doesn't know his arse from his elbow is going to make you change them..

It still is though, isn't it? £120 quid is just taking the p*ss at the end of the day it's just a bit of moulded plastic that costs a quid to make, i'm aware of how the world turns but even 50 quid for these is a rip. If they were a fiver they would make massive profit and ppl wouldn't be going around nicking them

Just wondering as I need some for my ats classics but can only find ats cup ones and it doen't say. It seems that they are 55mm but when I measure the hole on my wheels they are nearer 57mm so I assume they wouldn't fit. I was thinking of maybe black vw centre caps so If anyone has done this before I would appreciate knowing the size of these. cheers, Chris

When you did the chequered mirrors did you use individual black squares as obviously the mirrors were already white. If so, where did you get them as I can only fing sheets of black and white together which I think would just crease around a rounded surface. Cheers Chris
