Hi, I recently had my double din unit stolen from my Lupo and I have bought a second hand cd player as a replacement, I have tried to fit it but it does not seem to start up. Power is on but nothing else, there are a few snapped wires from the previous unit being ripped out, does anyone now if they could be the cause of the problem?....they are not connected to the main plugs which are not damaged. Just want to know if I am missing something before I return the stereo! Thanks Green wire; Black wire; Second black wire; Unit connections;

Think you need to replace the check strap, they are £15.50 from VW. There is a topic in the how to section.

Where can I get standard spark plugs for my lupo gti at a decent price?

No mate I am not having a laugh, the dipstick does not go in any further and it is 'clicked' into place. Rotating makes no difference

Okay, so you mean that the dipstick is out of position on that picture? Should the darker coloured orange section be pushed down a few centimetres?

I haven't moved the dipstick recently Baz and I think it would probably be over a larger area if that was the case.

I have a small oil leak on one side of my engine near to the dipstick. I am not that mechanically minded so can anyone give me an indication as to what could be leaking down this end of the engine; Cheers

Picked up my blck Lupo GTi this week after selling my 25th Anniversary Golf TDi. Just cleaned it up today and applied some Collinite 915. Few bits and bobs need doing, but nothing major. I have read the 'how - to' topic for removing the door cards on the Lupo, but is it possible to remover the large handle / electric window switch surround / small handle suround without taking the door card off, and are these parts easy to fit back on? Cheers Steven
