My lupo also had the paint name and code on a sticker on the inside of the wing mirror cover. most good bodyshops dont use the paint code they mix the paint for each car not just use what the sticker says as usually it never matches when they do it that way. (especially reds)

I've got the momo boss which comes with a resistor to stop the light coming on. I've got a momo millenium wheel to replace the vw one which the leather is coming off. Only 1 more vw badge left onm the car which is the front grille!

but how do i get the thing off i can't see any screws etc do i just pull the middle part of the steering wheel off?

Anyone know how to remove the steering wheel on my GTI without the airbag going off. Iknow you disconnect the battery but is it possible to disconnect it at the front of the car because i cant remove stereo install to get at battery easily in the rear. Help needed asap as it's got to have new wheel on by saturday night.

thats what I thought but not doing anything like this on a car with hydrolic clutch i wasn't sure.

how much fluid did you need to `re-fill` the brake resevoir?? is it 2 litres?

Just got new EBC drilled and Grooved disks for front and also some drilled and grooved disks for rear of the GTI including Green stuff pads front & rear. I got a freebie with this which was some EBC Racing brake fluid (Dot4) so anyone know how to bleed the brake system on the gti? what do i have to do to bleed it completely before `re-filling` with new fluid? also is the hydrolic clutch linked with the brake fluid? and does this need bleeding too. will 500ml be enough to `re-fill` an empty resevoir?

technically not illegal. it is only illegal if you try and sell the car and try and pass that milage on the clocks as the correct milage. i think anyway.

good "fake foll cage" is to ge tthat foam pipe insulation it's grey or black. easy to fit and bend, and you can make it into a 50point cage if you really wanted. plus it doesn;t hurt your head when you bang it on it. but would do feck all in an accident!

oil pressure goes on right hand side of head u need t piece so you still send a signal to the vw ecu. oil temp can be done with an electric sender in your sump plug.

I nearly made that mistake i had an accident in the lupo before it was heavilly modded but it did have different wheels and coilovers. insurance company sent inspector out who didnt mention anything about them and paid out for the damage then claimed it off othe rperson. now with adrian flux who i have declared all mods (including custom 1 off work! like the bumpers & bonnet) they repair like for like so if i have a crash they pay for modified parts to be `re-fitted`. and they're the cheapest i could find!

lol i added chesy graphics like HKS too HKS dont do anything for a lupo. that always makes me laugh i should of added a blitz logo too just for comody effect. i'm working on the interior of the lupo at the moment 4x konig black and silver buckets and new sub install. keeping it silver but may eventually have a purple flip laquer added in the future.

got a sump now anyway all sorted now

i agree with that i wish they did 2 wheels one way and two the other. thgink the porsche wheels like on mine are designed to suck the warm air away from the breaks (so i was told) but i guess they only do that on one side because of the way they spin.

my loop doesn't look crap on porsche wheels check out the feature in PVW!

not got them in yet still trying to find someone who will do it for me. got the brackets ready though. will carpet between the seats yeah. and have the sub box directly behind the seats so there's no gap between the rears either. it's actually not very cramped at all. about 6" between the two seats. top of seats is almost touching the roof though.

got it sorted now anyway. got 4 L shaped brackets that are going to be welded to floor with 4 holes in upright part. got to weld them to car floor! then 4 l shaped brackets that bolt to underside of seat with 2 holes in upright part then run a a bolt through them. so 4 silver n black konig bucket seats in ready for gti inters. also a `re-built` boot install to by then hopefully.

I currently have 3 konig bucket seats because someone somewhere got my order wrong. so my master plan is to buy 1 more seat to match and have 2 buckets in front and 2 in rear. i know they will fit i just need some advice on how the hell to attach them to the floor of the car. (the knoig seats attach on the underneath of the seat not on the side.)

all sorted now! new set of ht leads solved one problem. then i had to fix the wire off the oil pressure sender as that was broken.

My lupo is now 3 years old although it is an 02 plate the car was bought on the 24th December 01 according to VW so it is now out of warranty! I had an accident involving a boulder recently so needed a new sump, subframe and front wishbone (I know these are not warranty items just telling the story) 3 days after getting car back... the HT leads failed making the car missfire as cylinder 3 was arcing onto engine block no warranty so had to buy a full set myself £50 after new HT leads fitted on test drive... oil warning light comes on, checked oil level it's fine, going to check the sender on saturday but apart from that i dont know what it could be. anyone got any ideas and also what is gonna break next???????
