  1. As long as your engine is a 75bhp 1.4 litre, it should be just fine. It's only one thing I havent fixed yet, and that is the pipe coming out of the valvecover. Don't really know where that should be connected... I've connected it to the airfilterbox as for now... Must look into this soon. But go ahead and make the switch. Don't think you'll be having so much use for the wiring. Cheers and good luck!
  2. Looks nice! Anyone tried this on the standard bumper? Does it work on those aswell? Cheers!
  3. Hi! Could someone answere a rather "short of time" question? Im planning to buy a set of BCW Steffan rims + tires to my Lupo. But it might be a little bit low ET... The front rims are 8" wide, ET 15 with 195/45-14 tires on The rear rims are 9" wide, ET 10 with 225/40-14 tires on... Im also awaiting my TA Techniks coilovers this week, and I want my car loooooowwwww..... its not that much left on the tires, so I'll have to buy new ones rather soon if this might help me fit them on the car... In my oppinion, those tires mounted today gives far to little stretch! So does anyone think this'll work? Cheers! //Anders.
  4. This is exactly what I suspected... Just wanted to know if it's a common thing on theese cars. I'll try to rotate my springs aswell. It might just be that easy. But on the other hand, I feel that the amounts of "clicks per second" is to high to be like a bushing or similar. The noise is more frequent than the cars suspension going up and down... But I'll check. Thanks.
  5. It's all the time. Sooooo annoying! Its like when the swaybar struts give up on an old volvo.(or is it called antirollbar links in english) A clicking noise. However, the Lupo does not have these so thats not the problem. Just mentioned it to describe the sound... Does anyone know if this is a known problem? Any bushings that wear out? Regards, Anders.
  6. Hi again! For those who are interested out there, I can tell that I bought a BBY from a Skoda Fabia ´04 and it fitted after some exchanging of parts from my old AHW. For example, I had to loosen one tensioner to the cambelt so I could dismount the plastics surrounding it. That needet to be switched among other things. but it took me a couple of hours, and now I have an engine that is about 4 years old with a milage of 20000 miles.
  7. i was t hinking about this just the other day... I have a Lupo 1.4 ´99 75bhp, and I would really like to have another gear... To get the revs down a bit on the highway... Any suggestions anyone? Regards, Anders.
  8. Hi there! Sorry for stealing this thread for a moment, but I have a question about the picture in this thread. I assume that those holes are for speakers right? The big round ones? on the side? So my question is, was it option with speakers in the backseat on the Lupo? I havn't seen any Lupos with speakers in the backseat... And is it possible to buy those panels with some kind of openings for speakers? Regards, Anders.
  9. Well, I live in sweden so the shipping is probably more expencive than a new engine.... :S
  10. Hi! Just bought a Lupo 1.4 75bhp ´99 with a broken engine... So what you are saying is that I should look for an engine with the enginecode BBY? And I don't need to use my cylinderhead from the broken engine? Does it matter if it originally was mounted with an automatic or manual tranny? The original engine gave up after running out of oil, and stopped due to the "suddenly increased friction", so I don't think there is so much left to use in that one... Regards, Anders.
  11. Hi there guys! I'm doing a little visit here from Sweden so please go easy on me! I've just purchased a Lupo 1.4 75bhp ´99 manuall tranny, with a broken engine. It seems like the oilpump just stoped working, since the previous owner lost the oilpressure. But the schmuck kept on driving... He just filled a litre of oil and started it up again! He got about 4km before it had so much internal resitence that he had to shift it down to 1:st gear, and then he turned of the engine! But anyways, I assume that this engines cylindersleeves is fukked, and that I need to replace the entire engine... My question is, what kind of engine can I buy and put in without making any bigger modifications? I can buy a 1.4 75bhp engine from a bloke around the corner, but it would be a lot more fun with a GTi or a sport engine instead... because GTi and sport is not the same engine right? And does any other cars, like seat or skoda, uses this 1.4 75bhp engine? Whats the three letter code for this engine? I'd be very thankful for a quick reply since the person with the working engine demands an answere from me ASAP! Regards, Anders.
